Beat The Heat Bug Coming to ECPRA New Pro Mod Entry to be Driven by ECPRA President Warren Hill ECPRA President Warren Hill has been hard at work for quite some time preparing a new race car and with the help of a few more ECPRA members his project is finally nearing completion. Once complete, this car is sure to be a crowd favorite at upcoming ECPRA events this year.  “Why?” you might ask.  Because it’s a police car, that’s why.  A turbocharged 1972 VW Beetle dressed in full police regalia.  Warren is heading the Carolina chapter of the Beat the Heat Racing program whose goal is to spread the word about the dangers of street racing while encouraging young drivers to take their cars to the track and learn to race them legally and safely. In addition to the ECPRA Pro Mod series, the Beat The Heat Bug will be racing at several of the Thunder Jam series events and will also be making appearances at tracks throughout the Carolinas.&nbdp; Thank to this program, a whole new audience of teens and V8 racers will get their first glimpse into the exciting and unique world of VW drag racing.  A good showing at these events will not only be good for Warren, but also the ECPRA and VW drag racing in general so we all wish Warren the best in this endeavor.  For more information about the program including a schedule of this year’s events, go to www.beattheheatbug.com.
