Track Side Updates
11:30pm The cookout and cruise in are both now in the history books.  Thanks to all who came and hung out with us and enjoyed some food, friends, and fun VW style.  A little storm came in right as the sun was going down and may have given us a little scare as it re-arranged a few trees, but it was also cooling down the track, so that's a good thing.  Now we're resting up and getting ready for the action to get rolling in the morning.  The forecast calls for slightly cooler temperatures tomorrow, with mostly clear skies. 
   
   
9:00am The sun is out, and the fans and racers are starting to pour into the racetrack.  Turnout looks very good so far, and the weather couldn't be better.  Here are a few shots of things shaping up at the track.
   
   
10:00am The pro stocks are now making their way to the staging lanes for the first round of qualifying.
   
   
12:00pm Round one of qualifying is now complete.  Alan Fore gave the track an oil bath (we think his puke tank overflowed) and Tay apparently missed a shift.  Udo Johnson seemed to be having some kind of problem putting the power to the wheels, but we're not sure what.  Hopefully he gets it worked out quickly and gets back in the game.  Results are as follows.
